Illustrators I am in love with.

I have been busy, and even though I am unable to post new illustrations this week, I figured I would share with you some of my favorite illustrators! I am constantly amazed by the amount of talent out there, but only a handful of them made my jaw drop and remains etched in my mind. I cannot emphasize enough my admiration for the following illustrators. You might also notice my dedicated attraction (or bias) to a rather specific color palette/ east european style. I simply cannot help it!

Roman Klonek
Roman Klonek, born in Kattowitz/Poland, has a spot for old fashioned cartoons, especially east european styles. He now works together with friends in a studio in Düsseldorf, Germany. You can visit his portfolio site here.

Paloma Valdivia
I know very little about Paloma Valdivia other than she is located in Spain and primarily a children's book illustrator. You can see more of her beautiful and whimsical work on her blog. What I wouldn't give for one of her books!

Stuart Kolakovic
Unfortunately, I could not get any information on Stuart Kolakovic but I presume he is based in the UK. You can visit his portfolio here
Guim Tió
An amazing artist from Barcelona. I generally do not care much for portrait-based work, but his works really changed my mind. You can visit his blog here.

I hope you enjoyed these works as much as I do!

  2. I love them! Although, Guim Tio creeps me out a little bit. It's not really my style. But thanks for sharing!
